Athlete’s foot is the common term to describe a fungus condition involving the skin on your feet and toes.  Tinea Pedis and Dermatophytosis are also terms used to describe the condition; all three names mean the same thing.  Athlete’s foot usually begins with the patient first noticing an itchy sensation between their toes.  This is followed by scaling, flaking and small blisters.  The fungus is spread in warm moist areas such as public gyms, saunas and bathhouses.
